I'm Eddie Kim, a writer, editor and multimedia journalist living in San Francisco, California.

I cover a spectrum of issues, from poverty and race to art and food culture. Most of my work touches on the intersection of society and conflict, both physical and emotional.

I’m currently the City Reporter and founding member of Gazetteer San Francisco, a subscription-only news site with a radical business model.

My reporting and commentary have been published in VICE, Slate, MEL, and The Guardian, among other places. I was a longtime features writer for the critically acclaimed men’s magazine MEL, where I focused on issues around masculinity, unrest and pop culture.

I've also contributed to PBS, NPR, The Young Turks, Status Coup and various public radio networks in California as an on-air expert on politics, policy and extremism.
